Thanks god, Starbucks exists.
So... After 4 days in Kuala Lumpur, I can confirm that Malaysians do not know coffee. It's a kind of a nightmare at breakfast. Happily since I changed my hotel, I have a Starbucks on my way to work. So today, I had a Caramel Macchiato Soy Milk. And it didn’t taste burnt/boiled coffee or powder coffee…
I don’t really like my current hotel, service is really slow (like “we will send you someone immediately” and you wait for one hour and half) and noisy (I can hear my neighbor dropping his key at 11pm as if he is in the same room than me). But it’s closer to work (10 minutes by walking at 30°C is ok but no longer) and in a busier place (malls and park). My previous hotel was another standard, I had a dressing room, and a thick carpet where I could walk barefoot, the AC was in the entry, so I wasn't cold when at the desk or on my bed, TOTO toilets etc... And the food was better (but my boss told me today that the restaurant from my previous hotel was a gastronomy one (but it was better!)
I am still too tired to wander around but I plan to visit a fabric mall this weekend as they have sales and they have discount on patterns and fabrics! Yesterday I went to Cold Storage and Marks&Spencer in Suria KLCC and I have been disappointed. Not that much gluten free food, my favorite shortbread's from M&S (lemon gluten free) are the most expensive of all of the cookies here and I could only find sarrasin crackers at Cold Storage. The stationary is not exceptional but Kunikuya is OK, a little bit too small (I got bad habits because of Yodobashi and LOFT in Japan).
We don't have a cafeteria at work so we have to eat 'outside', some of us go to the restaurants around (good food, but long waiting and expensive) and others (like me) go to the busy-noisy fast-foods to eat faster and cheaper.
I bought Bliss from Lisa Henry and Heidi Beilleau this morning (but I have to finish the book I'm reading before re-starting this one). I finished We Were Liars last weekend. I haven't decided if I like We Were Liars. I loved the ending but I hated the beginning. I have been taken when she came back on the island (summer seventeen), but I had to reach half the book to be there so I don't know.
